GDT Soft Tissue Trimmer Bur is a needle-shaped hard oxide ceramic cylinder.
It is used in the high-speed handpiece without water coolant spray to excise and contour soft gingival tissue with minimal bleeding.
The tip of the Trimmer Bur made of a special ceramic consisting of yttrium-stabilized nano-structure zirconia will heat up because of the tissue friction.
This will cause immediate tissue coagulation at the surface of the cut and will prevent bleeding almost entirely, provided that no water cooling is used.
Both the tip and the surface won't dull, therefore ensuring a long service life.
